Changing how your web site looks isn't an easy

Changing how your web site looks isn't an easy
task--not when you have hundreds of documents linked to it! I began the process
about 8:00PM on a friday night and have been working for 17 hours straight, with
only a few stretch breaks, breakfast, and a short nap. Still need to do a lot of
work in the background, but it's just a matter of adding links to existing
documents. The next step will be to purchase the "mguhlin.net" domain name,
which I haven't had a chance to do yet <sigh>.

Not being familiar with TPRI, I wondered at what someone in Instructional Technology would have to do with what had typically been a reading initiative for K-2 teachers. From that first meeting in April until mid-May, 2003 I have learned much about planning the implementation of TPRI and the use of Handheld computers in my district, which ranks as one of the top ten largest districts in Texas.

Problem-based learning, however, provides a different approach you can take. It focuses you on an ill-structured problem. The story, the characters in the story, all come from the experiences of your students and real life. Follow these steps to enhancing professional development through the use of PBL. Even if you don’t adhere to the strict process or flow of problem-based learning, you will have transformed the experience for your adult learners. . .and these days, that can be the difference. The difference between another boring presentation people gulp coffee to stay awake in to a transformative experience.
