Network Management

  • Remote administration of multiple servers (e.g. Windows/Linux) featuring web sites, Apache, php/MySQL, IIS in support of the Instructional Technology and Library Services web and database servers (San Antonio ISD).
  • Remote administration of the 3 Pathways to Advance Virtual Education (PAVE) Windows 2000 Servers. These 3 web servers feature multiple, web-enabled Filemaker Pro databases, a web and FTP server, and WebBoard, as well as a streaming video server, used by the Pathways to Advance Virtual Education (PAVE) program, a $2.7 million TIE Funded Initiative.
  • Administered a Windows NT database server that hosts multiple databases, including both MS Access and Filemaker Pro 5 databases. This server was responsible for the Texas Library Connection Information Center, which is accessed by over 4,000 campuses and 800 districts in Texas.
  • Wrote an Erate application and was involved in facilitating the writing of a technology plan, including requests for proposals for campus networking (1998–1999)
  • Led multiple campuses in Region 20 through the writing of a TIFTECH Grant application, including review of hardware and software (1999)
  • Reviewed Technology Integration in Education (TIE) grants for the Texas Education Agency (1998, 1996).
  • Led a public school campus in the writing and implementation of technology plan, including hardware (local area network) and software deployment. (1992–1995)
