More tutorials for VLC Media Player here
1. Export your PhotoStory to WMV. This results in a proprietary WMV file you can only view in Windows Media Player. If you tried to view this in the free VLC Media Player, VLC Media Player wouldn’t be able to play it.
2. Open MovieMaker and import the PhotoStory WMV into your collection. Go to FILE, then choose IMPORT INTO COLLECTIONS. It looks like this:

3. Drag your media to the Storyboard. Be sure to select all (press Control-A) items in the collection, then drag them over all at once.

4. Save your movie to your computer. You can see that option by clicking on the TASKS button in the toolbar, then choosing SAVE TO MY COMPUTER.

5. Follow the Save Movie Wizard steps, as outlined below.
Step 1: Filename and Save Movie

Step 2: Choose Movie Setting
Note, choose one of the “video for broadband” options. Any of the other options might retain the proprietary codec that prevents conversion.

Step 3: Monitor Conversion Process

6. Convert MovieMaker Generated WMV using VLC Media Player.

7. Run VLC Media Player and choose FILE:WIZARD to get the Streaming/Transcoding wizard.

8. Choose the WMV file you created with MovieMaker, then click OK to get back to the initial INPUT screen.

9. Skip this window and go to the next.

10. Choose the encapsulation format - MP4.

11. Save converted item as MP4. When you click FINISH, the process of conversion will begin.

12. Open MP4 you created with VLC Media Player in VLC Media Player. This MP4 will work on a variety of platforms, including Mac, GNU/Linux and, Windows. Once the file is in MP4 format, you can use popular conversion tools—such as Zamzar.com—to convert it to other formats. Or, if the MP4 is a large file, use VLC to convert it to FLV, then upload that to TeacherTube.org or YouTube.com.
